Background
Board certified in Cardiovascular Diseases as well as in Nuclear Cardiology,
Echocardiography, Cardiac Computed Tomography and Cardiac MRI, Dr. Dennis Sarabi
specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of cardiac pathology such as
coronary artery disease, heart failure and valvular abnormalities.
Clinical Expertise
Dr Sarabi’s clinical subspecialty is in preventive cardiology as well as advanced
cardiac imaging with a focus on Cardiac CTA, Cardiac MRI, Nuclear Cardiology and
Echocardiography. He also holds a PhD degree in Cardiovascular Medicine, based on an
extensive research background investigating the effects of cardiovascular risk factors on
endothelial function and atherosclerosis. He is the author of the book “Cardiovascular
Risk Factors and Endothelial Function” published in 1999.
Education, Training and Experience
A graduate of Uppsala University, Sweden, Dr Sarabi completed his residency in internal
medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. In addition, he completed a fellowship in cardiac CT and MRI at Advanced
Cardiac Imaging Center, New York, NY. Dr Sarabi was a previous post-doctoral fellow at
the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institute of Health (NIH) in
Bethesda, Maryland. Prior to joining Pacific Coast Cardiology, Dr Sarabi was the Director of
Cardiac CT and MRI at Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia.
Personal
Dr Sarabi’s hobbies include playing his guitars, exercise, writing and travel.
